They of Worthless Pride
I
If there is one thing to remember about the Ravelo, it is that one should never call them that to their face. A prideful people, the Ravelo still cling to the bones of a dead horse that could’ve once been called the Republic of Velasca. While the Ravelo still enjoy some savannah and grassland regions in the northern isthmus between oceans, the drought hit hard enough to dissolve the Republic and desert her cities. Now living as nomadic herders barely willing to do what must be done to survive, the Ravelo are an honorable and strict people who refuse to admit their time in the sun has come and gone, and in order to survive they must adapt. Bonded to Hadrosauridae, they keep their bonded beasts not only as mounts, but as farm helpers and livestock when necessary. Highly chivalrous, the Ravelo refuse all magic and believe that there is no greater dishonor than relying on external means to do what the body is designed for.

The Honorable Duelist
A mounted rider raised in the saddle, calbagadores wield facón blades and favor decisive, honorable charges.
Starting Abilities
Ride them Fair
When fighting mounted against another mounted foe, you may spend your reaction to negate a hit to your mount and redirect it to yourself as a glancing blow.
Born to Saddle
You and your bonded Hadrosauridae ignore difficult terrain. During travel, your mount can safely carry an additional rider or load without penalty.
Show the Spur
You may use Animal Handling or Athletics in place of Persuasion or Intimidation while you are mounted.
They with Two Holsters
Esparedos switch seamlessly between pistol and facón, thriving in personal, close-quarters fights.
Starting Abilities
Cross-Draw Instinct
When you switch between pistol and facón during your turn, you may immediately reroll initiative. If you reinsert ahead of your target, your next attack against them cannot be parried. If you reinsert behind them, you gain advantage on your next attack.
Pistol at the Breast
When firing your revolver at close range (within 5 ft.), you may ignore cover and shields, and treat the target’s heart or abdomen as one difficulty easier to target.
Mounted Fluidity
While mounted to a bonded beast, you may interpose your mount to negate a hit to yourself, turning it into a glancing blow against the mount instead.
Stone-throwers
Commanding the battlefield, enredadores fight with lasso and bola, disabling enemies to allow their espadero or calbagador companions to take the kill.
Starting Abilities
Hold Them Still
If you restrain a wounded creature, they suffer permanent disadvantage on all rolls until they are freed.
Line Master
You are an expert in ropes and restraints. You can secure prisoners quickly, bind wounds or gear with improvised lines, and rig climbing or tripping tools. Your lasso and bola can be recovered automatically after combat unless destroyed.
Mounted Control
While mounted on a bonded beast, you gain advantage on checks involving herding, driving animals, or controlling crowds.
The Gentle Hand
A battlefield medic and survivor, algecínas keep others alive through grit and practiced anatomical knowledge.
Starting Abilities
Hands Before Steel
When an adjacent ally is wounded, begins bleeding, or is reduced to unconscious, you may spend your reaction to intervene, preventing the bleed track, downgrading an injury by one tier (until the end of the ally’s next turn only), or to move the ally up to half your speed without provoking reactions.
Field Stabilization
Once per long rest, you may stabilize a creature without consuming medical supplies.
Herbal Doctrine
With your herbalism kit, you can prepare remedies during long rests, turning 1 supplies into 1 medical supplies.
